CES was contracted to assist Indigenous Tourism Ontario (ITO) in developing their Strategic & COVID-19 Recovery Plan for 2020-2025. This project identified the impacts of COVID-19 on the Indigenous tourism industry in Ontario, and a three-step plan of Preserve, Renew, and Rejuvenate was put forward. 

CES worked with the Newfoundland & Labrador Indigenous Tourism Working Group to identify the opportunities, challenges and possible solutions for establishing NL as a leader in Indigenous tourism.

Through Indigenous Services Canada’s Strategic Partnership Initiative (SPI), CES has had the wonderful opportunity of working with Dave and Shirley Thompson, managers of Kikino Silver Birch Resort (KSBR) to welcome visitors to enjoy a new Métis cultural experience.

Enoch Cree Nation has a vision for pursuing tourism to first and foremost honour their traditions and their people to create new opportunities for cultural enrichment and socio-economic development. With this vision as its guiding force, Enoch will establish 2 very special places that together will work in harmony to respectfully welcome visitors to the community.

CES has been working with Indigenous Services Canada’s Special Project Initiative (SPI) to deliver pilot projects with 2 exemplary Indigenous tourism organizations to achieve new market ready products in Alberta’s Indigenous tourism sector.

CES assisted ITO with its strategic and organizational planning. This included a comprehensive review of Indigenous tourism businesses on a provincial scale.

CES was contracted to assist Indigenous Tourism Ontario (ITO) in conducting foundational research to better understand the current Indigenous tourism landscape in Ontario.
