what we did

CES worked alongside the region’s Tourism Division to create a 5-Year Refreshed Tourism Strategy that was driven by the community members’ voices and focused on the appreciation of each destination's unique offerings while providing recommendations on how to unify the region as a whole.

The uncertainty present in the tourism industry as a result of the pandemic and exploring opportunities to create sustainable and creative connections throughout the region.

results

This project was built upon the region’s previous plan and provided strategic direction for tourism development over the next 5 years. It set the direction for a clear path forward for tourism development in Nunatsiavut by implementing a holistic approach to ensure direct socio-economic benefits are seen in all the region’s unique destinations. The Strategy is expressed using visuals when possible and summarized in a tactical action item table to map out how tourism development can continue to grow well into the future.
