Indigenous Tourism Ontario
CES was contracted to assist Indigenous Tourism Ontario (ITO) in developing their Strategic & COVID-19 Recovery Plan for 2020-2025. This project identified the impacts of COVID-19 on the Indigenous tourism industry in Ontario, and a three-step plan of Preserve, Renew, and Rejuvenate was put forward.
Newfoundland & Labrador Indigenous Tourism Association
CES worked with the Newfoundland & Labrador Indigenous Tourism Working Group to identify the opportunities, challenges and possible solutions for establishing NL as a leader in Indigenous tourism.

Kikino Silver Birch Resort – Métis Cultural Experience
Through Indigenous Services Canada’s Strategic Partnership Initiative (SPI), CES has had the wonderful opportunity of working with Dave and Shirley Thompson, managers of Kikino Silver Birch Resort (KSBR) to welcome visitors to enjoy a new Métis cultural experience.
Enoch Cree Nation – Traditional Grounds & Interpretive Area and Cree Cultural Village
Enoch Cree Nation has a vision for pursuing tourism to first and foremost honour their traditions and their people to create new opportunities for cultural enrichment and socio-economic development. With this vision as its guiding force, Enoch will establish 2 very special places that together will work in harmony to respectfully welcome visitors to the community.
Indigenous Services Canada Alberta Region
CES has been working with Indigenous Services Canada’s Special Project Initiative (SPI) to deliver pilot projects with 2 exemplary Indigenous tourism organizations to achieve new market ready products in Alberta’s Indigenous tourism sector.
Indigenous Tourism Ontario
CES assisted ITO with its strategic and organizational planning. This included a comprehensive review of Indigenous tourism businesses on a provincial scale.
Chapleau Cree First Nation
In 2018/19, CES assisted Chapleau Cree First Nation in completing a Feasibility Study, Business Plan and Technical Assessment for the development of a community-based Cultural Ecolodge and Chalets. By using a multi-faceted business approach including a diversity of programs, activities and accommodations, the sustainability of this new venture can be ensured for years to come.
Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada
CES was hired by Tourism HR Canada and the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC) to assist in the development of nation-wide Indigenous tourism standards recognition program.
Cree Nation of Mistissini
CES worked with the Cree Nation of Mistissini to develop the My Mistissini 2034 Strategy which defines best practices, concepts, key initiatives and action plans required to provide guidance and set direction for tourism planning in the community for the next 20 years.
Wikwemikong Development Commission
In 2014, CES assisted the Wikwimikong Development Commission in developing Point Grondine’s Business Plan which is based on developing an innovative, unique eco-friendly destination that will attract international attention.
Chesterfield Inlet
CES was hired to develop a Community Economic Development plan that would set direction and create a 5-year vision for the community.
Six Nations Tourism
CES developed a Plan for the Revitalization of Chiefswood Park for Six Nations Tourism. This Plan sets direction and opportunities that work towards creating a place where visitors and community members can come to learn about authentic Haudenosaunee culture and to experience the magic of this National Heritage Site.
Saugeen First Nation
CES developed an Operational Strategy for South Sauble Beach, one of Saugeen First Nation’s greatest treasures. The Plan highlights opportunities to preserve this immense resource for the community with respect to social, cultural and environmental well-being.
Sagamok Anishnawbek
CES developed My Sagamok 2022 - a Plan that provides strategic direction for the development of tourism over the next 5 years by focusing on putting the community first, inspiring entrepreneurship and business creation and focusing on responsible tourism development.
Sheshegwaning First Nation Leadership Centre
CES collaborated with the community’s leadership and architect Peter Rankis to develop an Operational Business Plan for the Sheshegwaning First Nation Leadership Centre.
Cree Nation of Nemaska
Pando Terra™ Community Tourism Plan was developed in consultation with the community. The plan provided a holistic approach to sustainable community development, ensuring long term success.
