The construction of the Seine River First Nation Cultural Centre

what we did

CES was hired to develop a Cultural Interpretation Centre Business Plan, which will be a vital part of SRFN’s infrastructure and a hub for capacity building, cultural preservation, environmental preservation, economic development, tourism development and nation-building.

challenges

The original building that was constructed was not built to code and was unsafe for use. The project and funding were in jeopardy. As unforeseen circumstances presented themselves, CES was asked to manage and liaise with the government, architects, and contractors to revive the project beyond the original expectations on time and on budget.

results

CES stepped in to turn around a failing infrastructure project for the building of the SRFN Cultural Centre, by assisting leadership through the entire project from vision, technical, legal, and financial planning all leading to a celebratory ribbon cutting.
