Building the capacity of the community members in the Town of Churchill with the skills, knowledge, and tools needed to seek meaningful employment opportunities

Almost every type of business, regardless of the industry it represents, requires administrative staff in some capacity. Providing hands-on, practical skills training to Churchill’s unemployed and under-employed was the impetus of the Administrative Skills Training Program.

what we did

CES was hired to deliver an Administrative Skills Training Program for the Town of Churchill with a focus on providing transferable skills to qualify participants for entry-level jobs in various administrative positions.

Reducing the need for employers to recruit from outside Churchill and filling employment gaps in the community.

results

CES alongside our client with T2E - Training to Employment, Churchill, successfully delivered an Administrative Skills Training Program to 9 participants that involved Transferable Employability Skills Training, an Introduction to Administrative Skills, Event Planning and Coordination, Introduction to computers and keyboarding, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Publisher, Electronic Filing, File Management, File Sharing, and Basic Accounting and Bookkeeping.
