Leadership & Resilience: Working Together with Seine River First Nation

At CES, we often say that ‘every good relationship starts with a conversation’ and as the years pass, it becomes more and more apparent to us that good relationships may be the key to happiness both professionally and personally. The Chief & Council of Seine River First Nation (SRFN) have reaffirmed this realization as the community is one of our longest standing clients and a relationship that we value deeply.

If we were to catalogue all the projects that we’ve had the privilege of working with SRFN on over the years, the accomplishments and drive of the community would be nothing short of amazing. From tourism plans to operational plans to training and coaching to funding applications, the list goes on. Now based on this foundation of trust and understanding, Clinton has become an advisor to the community and regularly facilitates strategic planning sessions with leadership and often liaises between the community’s funding partners and lobbyists with the ultimate goal of securing the best outcome for Seine River. This is all backed up by transparency, integrity, and the desire to bring meaningful benefits to the people of the community.

Throughout the pandemic, Seine River First Nation has continued open dialogue with the team at CES with the goal of driving creative and innovative projects forward to continue community development for the years to come. Whether it’s figuring out the logistics for a wild rice business plan and subsequent harvesting initiative, or creative ideas to firmly establish their presence in the region’s tourism sector, we applaud them for the work they have done to ensure a prosperous year in 2021. This year CES is excited to continue the work achieved in 2020 and move forward with some very exciting projects with SRFN. Their Cultural Centre will soon be home to truly ground-breaking augmented and virtual reality cultural experiences for visitors, and after tremendous efforts from community leadership, Mudge’s Camp will carefully open its doors to welcome guests as a prime vacation getaway spot for family holidays, cultural engagement, and great fishing.
